When and where are PFOC classes held?

PFOC conducts 6-week dog training classes on Monday evenings from September through April. Classes are held outdoors at a Phoenix city park. Some classes begin at 7 pm and others at 8:15 pm. We will accept students by pre-registation only.

What will my dog and I learn?

PFOC classes will show you how to use patience and the correct techniques to communicate with your dog. In our beginning classes, we teach basic control exercises to prepare your dog for successful completion of AKC's Canine Good Citizen test. In our obedience show classes, the emphasis is on preparing you and your dog for competition at obedience trials. You can also choose to prepare for Rally or Conformation competition. Our instructors are experienced at training and showing their own dogs and are dedicated to helping other dog owners enhance the relationship with their dog.

How do I sign up for classes?

You may register for classes by mailing a completed registration form, along with a check for $50 made payable to PFOC, to Training Director Marilyn Bennett at 7148 W. Caribbean Lane, Peoria, AZ 85381. The registration form can be downloaded from this website. You can also call our Training Director Marilyn Bennett at 623-979-6831.

Registration forms must be received at least one week prior to the beginning of class. Acknowledgements for class acceptance will be sent about a week before classes begin. Registering for a class does not guarantee a placement due to class size limitations. If your requested class is filled, you will be placed on a waiting list. Refunds will be given at the discretion of the Training Director. Total refunds will only be given if notified before the first class of the session. Both purebred and All American dog breeds are welcome in PFOC classes. Phoenix Field & Obedience Club reserves the right to refuse admission to PFOC classes at the discretion of the Training Director.
